Two prisoners at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility are pregnant with the babies of a transgender inmate whom they had consensual sexual relations with, NJ Advance Media reports. A policy allowing prisoners to be housed in line with their gender identity was enacted last year as part of a settlement agreement for a suit filed by a woman who was forced to live in a men's prison for 18 months. A trade instructor at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility in Hunterdon County was charged with witness tampering in an undisclosed 2018 crime. Devon E. An Irvington man who works as a corrections officer at a federal prison in New York has been indicted on several charges accusing him of coercing female inmates into sex, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Manhattan said Tuesday.
