Teen Accused Of Jersey Shore, NY Child Rape Charged With Stalking Ramapo College Student
UPDATE (Dec. 9, 2022): A 19-year-old man already accused of repeatedly raping a minor at the Jersey Shore and in New York State also stalked a female Ramapo College student, authorities charged. Jon Pelcin, of Monroe, NY, followed the sophomore around the Mahwah campus "on multiple occasions," Township Detective Lt. Kevin Hebert wrote. Pelcin "showed up at sporting events where the victim [was] in attendance" and followed her in his vehicle, putting her "in fear of death or bodily injury," Hebert added. 19-Year-Old Bicyclist Holding Onto Window Of Moving Car Dies In Middlesex County Crash
A 19-year-old bicyclist from Middlesex County was killed in a fatal weekend crash, authorities said. Christopher Pina of Spotswood was pronounced dead at the scene of Saturday night's crash, Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and Monroe Police Chief Michael J. Biennas said in a statement on Tuesday. Pina left a house at Avenue J in Monroe and was heading toward Avenue K Park when the accident occurred at 11:23 p.m., they said. Child Riding Bicycle Struck By Vehicle On Route 17M Airlifted To Hospital
A 12-year-old Orange County boy was airlifted to the Westchester Medical Center Trauma Unit after being struck by a vehicle. The incident took place around 9:42 a.m. Friday on Route 17M, said Monroe Police Department Chief Dave Conklin. According to the chief, the child was walking his bike on the shoulder of Route 17, when traffic cleared and he went to ride across Route 17M. "Unfortunately he rode ride into the path of a vehicle that could not avoid hitting him," the chief said.
