A 23-year-old salesman from Midland Park was arrested Tuesday and charged with trafficking child porn, authorities confirmed. Ali Aldoise was taken into custody during the execution of a search warrant at his home on Vreeland Avenue early Nov. 6, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Detectives from his Cyber Crimes Unit found that Aldoise “used the Internet to view, download, possess, distribute and share items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children,” the prosecutor said. An early morning fire severely damaged an Upper Saddle River home near the New York State border on Friday. The fire broke out in the garage of the home on Rambling Brook Road in the northwest section of town -- barely 300 yards from the Rockland County line -- shortly before 6:30 a.m. Nov. 18, Police Detective Capt. Two occupants sustained injuries that weren't considered serious when their hatchback split a utility pole before dawn outside the Midland Park Post Office.Utility wires were downed across Godwin as the Hyundai continued into the corner of a building housing an embroidery shop just up the street around 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25. Firefighters quickly extinguished a Franklin Lakes house blaze before it could do more damage. Boxes apparently caught fire in the basement of the Summit Avenue home just off Route 208 shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday, responders said. Firefighters had the flames knocked down within a half-hour, they said. The fire was declared under control minutes later.
