Man Lured, Sexually Assaulted 22-Year-Old In Car In Jersey City, Prosecutor Says
A 30-year-old man has been arrested after authorities say he lured a 22-year-old into his car and then sexually assaulted her. Marc Toledo, of Jersey City, approached the victim in a white vehicle in Journal Square early Sunday, June 2, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. He drove the victim a short distance to Division Street and Eighth Street at approximately 7 a.m. The victim reported she was sexually assaulted in the vehicle, Suarez said. Jersey City Police Cruiser, Civilian Vehicle Damaged, Multiple Victims Injured In Crash
Two Jersey City police officers and at least one civilian were injured in a crash that sent a cruiser into a fire hydrant. The vehicles collided at the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Stegman Street at 11:15 a.m. Friday, May 17, according to Jersey City spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione. It wasn't the result of a pursuit, she emphasized. Victims said the collision triggered the police car's airbags. The victims were taken to Jersey City Medical Center with what responders said were all minor injuries. An investigation into the cause was continuing.

A woman who once made national headlines when she showed up for a job interview with the Hudson County Sheriff's Office only to be busted for nearly a dozen outstanding warrants was arrested for burglarizing a post office she'd been fired from, federal authorities said. One man was killed and another wounded in an overnight shooting Tuesday up the street from New Jersey City University. Police responding to a 12:45 a.m. April 30 call on College Street said they found the injured man with a bullet wound in his arm and the dead man near Audubon Avenue.
