Talk about a happy tail. A French bulldog named Klipse who went tumbling 40 feet down a cliff at Palisades Interstate Park was rescued by Port Authority Police officers on Tuesday morning July 30, PAPD spokeswoman Lenis Valens said. Port Authority PD Welcomes Newest Members Of Specialized Squadron
A dozen new members were welcomed into the Port Authority Police Emergency Services Unit at a Newark Airport graduation ceremony that followed 30 weeks of rigorous training. The officers now specialize in tactical response, active shooter response, high-angle rescue, motor vehicle accident extrication, hazardous materials and confined space rescue, PAPD Spokesperson Lenis Valens said. State Trooper Lowers Partner On Rope To Rescue Hiker, Dog Trapped On Sussex County Cliff
A New Jersey State Trooper was lowered by rope to rescue a hiker and his dog after they became lost on a trail in a wooded Sussex County area. Troopers from the Sussex Station were sent to the area off of Yellow Frame Road in Fredon after the victim called 9-1-1 reporting he was stuck on a steep incline at the bottom of a cliff on Monday around 7:45 p.m., State Police said.
