Englewood Resident Carjacked, Fleeing Juveniles Captured In Paterson
Two 17-year-olds who carjacked an Englewood resident at gunpoint overnight Wednesday were captured in Paterson a short time later by city police and New Jersey State Police troopers. The 52-year-old victim told police the two masked robbers took his Hyundai Elantra at the Rock Creek Terrace Apartment complex shortly after midnight Nov. 1, Detective Lt. Fred Pulice said. UPDATE: A 14-year-old boy was stabbed and slashed by a fellow Teaneck High School student in a Halloween clown mask, authorities confirmed. 16-Year-Old Among Trio Nabbed By Paterson Detectives In Separate Gun Arrests
A 16-year-old Paterson youth was one of three city residents arrested in separate gun-related incidents over a span of roughly 30 hours, authorities said. The teen was nabbed by Detectives Kenneth Kerwin, Suquan Gary, Joseph Aboyoun and John Traynor at the corner 12th Avenue and East 22nd Street shortly before 1 a.m. Monday, Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said. He was carrying a 9mm Girsan handgun equipped with a high-capacity magazine, the director said. UPDATE: An underage teenager who robbed a man at gunpoint on a Hackensack street this past weekend was also the shooter who wounded a customer at a city liquor store late last month, authorities said.
