A Kia minivan slammed head-on into a utility pole and an Audi A4 collided with both the minivan and a Honda Accord on South Maple Avenue at Dayton Street shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15. Shocking Discovery: Woman's Body Found In Leaf Pile Outside Ridgewood Home A Ridgewood homeowner taking a trash can to the curb late Wednesday discovered the body of a woman in a large leaf pile. Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke, who was among the responders to the Union Street resident's 911 call at 11:07 p.m., said the 53-year-old village resident was "known to the police department" and that no foul play was suspected. She may have suffered a medical episode, one responder said. An investigation was continuing, although Detective Sgt. Crash Sends Jeep Into Ridgewood Building A Monday morning crash in Ridgewood sent a Jeep into the front of an office building. Both drivers sustained injuries in the collision at the intersection of Dayton Street and South Maple Avenue that responders said didn't appear life-threatening. Ridgewood police, firefighters and EMS responded. A flatbed tow truck removed both vehicles from the scene.  Damage to the office building appeared cosmetic only. Boyd A.
