Paroled Child Porn Collector Reoffended Right After Release: Bergen Prosecutor
UPDATE: A former New Jersey state DOT worker from Montvale who served a year in prison for collecting child porn faces a much longer sentence after authorities said they caught him doing it again. Robert Setnitzky, 61, was originally busted by Bergen County prosecutor’s detectives with nearly 25,000 child porn files in September 2019. Fate intervened this weekend when an emergency room doctor revived a drowning 3-year-old boy pulled from a hotel pool near the New Jersey/New York border. Police who responded within a minute to the call of an unresponsive child at the Courtyard by Marriott on Chestnut Ridge Road in Montvale at 4:20 p.m. Saturday found Dr. John Blundell of Buffalo reviving the New York City boy, Police Chief Joseph Sanfilippo said. Three Sexual Assaults Have Been Reported In J. City Since Saturday
A Jersey City woman was sexually assaulted early Saturday morning by a man she met in Newark shortly before the attack, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday night. The assault occurred around 2:30 a.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott at 540 Washington Boulevard, the 21-year-old victim told police. Lyndhurst PD: Ecstasy-Fueled Elmwood Park Man With Claw Hammer Arrested After Rampage
An Elmwood Park man high on Ecstasy damaged several cars with a claw hammer before walking into a Lyndhurst hotel, snatching a cellphone from a desk clerk's hand and fleeing, said police who arrested him before dawn Wednesday. Pablo Perez, 41, who'd rented a room at a neighboring hotel, was taken into custody without incident by Lt. Paramus Officer Finds Stolen Car Driver In Hotel Parking Lot
PARAMUS, N.J. – A driver pulled his jacket over his head after a Paramus police officer spotted him behind the wheel of a stolen car before dawn Thursday, authorities said.
