2 Dead In 3-Car Newark Bridge Crash That Left Vehicles Mangled
Police have identified the two people killed in a three-vehicle crash on a Newark bridge over the weekend. Anaji Ryan, of Carteret, was driving a Ford Focus which collided with a Dodge Durango and Subaru Outback on the Raymond Boulevard Bridge in the city’s Ironbound section around 4 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Frage said. Both she and her passenger, Ayriella M. Hughes, were killed. Their ages and hometowns were pending verification. Crash Outside Chit Chat Diner Sends 1 Person To Hospital
1One person was hospitalized and one summons was issued in a two-vehicle crash outside Chit Chat Diner in Hackensack Friday night, Oct. 11, police said. The crash involved a Toyota SUV and a Honda sedan around, Capt. Michael Antista said. Sometime around 9:15 p.m., a Toyota SUV and Honda sedan collided. One vehicle struck the curb, case, and light fixture on the property of Chit Chat Diner on Essex Street, Antista said. A 53-year-old Hackensack woman was hospitalized with pain, the captain said. One summons was issued due to a registration issue.

Arrest Made In Hit-Run Crash That Killed Cook In Lyndhurst: Prosecutor
A 29-year-old Kearny man has been charged in the deadly hit-and-run that killed a cook at a popular Route 17 restaurant this week in Lyndhurst, authorities said. Steven G. Novillo-Cabrera was behind the wheel of a 2020 Honda Civic when he struck George Arnold, 57, as he was trying to cross Ridge Road at Milton Avenue around 9:50 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Two people were hospitalized in a Fair Lawn crash Thursday morning, Oct. 10, police said. The vehicles collided on the 300 block of Saddle River Road, propelling both vehicles off the roadway, incident photographer Boyd A. Loving said. Man, 33, Killed By Car Trying To Cross Route 3 In East Rutherford, Police Say
A 33-year-old man was struck and killed by a car on Route 3 Thursday night, Sept. 26, police said. Officers were called to the eastbound lanes of the highway at midnight where the pedestrian had been struck by a 2004 Toyota Camry while trying to cross the highway, ERPD Capt. Jeff Yannacone said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.
