Bed Bath & Beyond Closures Include 36 NJ Locations Three dozen Bed Bath & Beyond stores in New Jersey are among 87 locations scheduled to close in 2023, the struggling retailer announced. That brings the total number of Bed Bath & Beyond locations scheduled to close to at least 162 announced since September 2022. A spokesperson told Axios that the latest round of closures will include all of the company's Harmon beauty shops, as well as five Buy Buy Baby locations. Suspicious Object Briefly Clears Westwood Shopping Plaza What turned out to be a harmless homemade lighter cleared a Bergen County shopping plaza mid-Wednesday afternoon. The lighter, found in a clothing shipment at T.J. Maxx in Westwood, "may have accidentally been placed or fallen into the shipment at a warehouse prior to delivery," borough Police Chief Michael Pontillo said. The call came in at 2:51 p.m. Jan. 11. Super Cellars Returns To Westwood, Trader Joe's Expands A wine store that left Westwood a year ago is getting ready to reopen in a new space -- just as Trader Joe's doubles in size at its former location, according to a new report. Super Cellars next month is expected to open at 75 Broadway in a new 5,000-square-foot space, which its owner feels is a better location, NorthJersey.com reports. Westwood PD: Hit-Run Driver Found Block Away A hit-and-run driver made it a block before Westwood police found her Tuesday morning in the parking lot of a nearby CVS, authorities said. She complained of not feeling well and was taken to a nearby hospital, as was the other driver, who complained of neck pain, Police Chief Michael Pontillo said The crash occurred on Broadway by the Rolling Pin Cafe. Alerted by a passerby, police found the other driver had turned the corner and pulled into the rear lot at the CVS, nearly 100 yards away. An investigation was continuing.
