Motorcyclist, 30, Dies Days Before Birthday In NJ Crash
A 30-year-old motorcyclist has died following a New Jersey crash earlier this month, according to his obituary.
Wilson Gonzalez Jr., of Bound Brook, died at RWJ Hospital in New Brunswick on Friday, Aug. 16, his obituary on the Hagan-Chamberlin Funeral Home website says.

Support Surges For Bound Brook Family Displaced By Fire
A Bound Brook family lost everything when their home went up in flames, and the community is now rallying to help.
Firefighters responded to the Trupkiewicz family's Mountain Avenue home on March 19, where the fire reached three alarms, according to the local fire station and a GoFundMe campaign launched by relatives.
Annie Kielblock organized the campaign on behalf of her sister, Alyssa, and brother-in-law, Michael Trupkiewicz. The pair and their four children, Lucca, 11; Charlie, 8; Mikey, 2; and Ellowyn, 6 months, have been displaced.

Winner: Mega Millions Lottery Ticket Worth $10K Sold At ShopRite
There was one third-tier prizewinning ticket sold for the Tuesday, July 19, Mega Millions lottery drawing.
The ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $10,000 prize.
That ticket was purchased at ShopRite #466, 611 West Union Ave., Bound Brook in Somerset County.
The winning numbers for the Tuesday, July 19, drawing were: 02, 31, 32, 37 and 70. The Gold Mega Ball was 25, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 03.

Popular Burger Joint Expanding To Bergen County
A burger restaurant with several New Jersey locations is planning a Bergen County debut.
30 Burgers will be opening at 30 Park Avenue, according to a post on its Instagram page. The storefront was formerly home to The Empanada Shop.
"Fresh never frozen" is 30 Burgers' motto.
Launched in January 2014, 30 Burgers focuses on certified Angus beef burgers, each one cooked to order with a 7- to 10-minute wait time.
Other 30 Burgers locations are in Lawrence Township, Branchburg, Hillsborough, Bound Brook, Dunellen, East Brunswick, Linden, Somerville and Hackettstown.

Cancelled: Risky Halloween Activities Banned In These North Jersey Towns
While Gov. Phil Murphy gave trick-or-treating the green light this year, some towns are giving it the red light amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Halloween activities such as trick-or-treating, trunk-or-treating, parties, carnivals, or festivals with large crowds were banned in several towns.
The first to do so was Bound Brook. The borough's OEM coordinator on Oct. 7 put out a memo saying trick-or-treating, trunk-or-treating, hay rides, haunted houses, parties and large gatherings would not be permitted. Virtual activities, drive-thru events and family activities were allowed, though.

Ulta Beauty To Close 19 Stores
Ulta Beauty announced plans to close 19 stores this year.
Shops slated to get the ax have not been announced, but the beauty supplies chain has shops across New Jersey that could be impacted.
Ulta Beauty top officials blamed COVID-19’s economic disruption as the reason for the cuts.
Even while it closes some stores, Ulta Beauty has plans to open 30 more. Efforts will be made to transfer employees from closed shops to new or already existing ones, the company said in a press release.
