HO-HO-KUS, N.J. — A mansion built and occupied by a former Ho-Ho-Kus mayor is on the market for $4.9 million, realtors said.

Bernard Lamb, chairman of the Republican Committee and state finance commissioner, owned the Georgian mansion in the 1930s.

His sprawling almost 4.5-acre East Saddle River Road home once boasted a stable and 2-car garage. A library and fireplace were later added.

Today, the property features:

  • swimming pool
  • tennis courts
  • five fireplaces
  • covered patio off formal living room
  • balcony off master suite
