Waldwick police respond to online ad, arrest male prostitute

Lawrence Duffy Jr. of White Pond Road was arrested after “a meeting at his residence with an undercover detective he believed was a client,” Waldwick Detective Sgt. Douglas J. Moore said.

Investigators also found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the home, the sergeant said.

The arrest followed an investigation by Waldwick police and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Task Force, Moore said.

Duffy is charged with prostitution, resisting arrest and drug-related counts. He was released on his own recognizance Thursday pending a Municipal Court appearance.
