Waldwick Police Bust 2 Newark Women With Forged Prescriptions

WALDWICK, N.J. -- Waldwick police arrested two Newark women who they said tried passing bogus prescriptions at a local pharmacy.

Officer Brian Finale nabbed Medina E. Gibson, 30, on charges of wrongful impersonation and obtaining drugs through forgery and deception, Lt. Douglas J. Moore said Monday.

Soon after, Qadriyyah Hill, also 30, entered the same Rite Aid and tried to pass phony scripts, as well, Moore said.

Officer William Wright arrested her on charges of receiving stolen property, forgery, executing forged prescriptions obtaining drugs through forgery and deception and trafficking stolen identities.

Additional charge were brought by Sgt. Troy Seifert and Officer David Passaretti after a warranted search of Gibson's car turned up evidence of other bogus prescriptions, Moore said.

Both women were ordered held on $5,000 each in the Bergen County Jail.
