Ryan J. Gomez, a 30-year-old married recruiter with the Ramsey station, collected and distributed images “pre-pubescent children engaged in sexual acts,” Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

Some may remember Gomez from photos of Northern Valley/Old Tappan star quarterback Devin Fuller in October, after the highly-sought-after prospect was chosen to play in the Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 7 in San Antonio.

Members of the task force involved in the case include police officers from Mahwah, as well as from Maywood, Oradell, Ridgewood, Saddle River and Waldwick, Molinelli said. They arrested Gomez early today.

He is being held on $50,000 bail pending a hearing tomorrow in Superior Court in Hackensack.
