Upper Saddle River Police Pair Promoted To Sergeant

UPPER SADDLE RIVER, N.J. -- Two Upper Saddle River police officers were sworn in as sergeants.

Sgt. Craig Parrella, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, has been a police officer since 2004. He is a firearms instructor, field training officer and instructor at the Bergen County Police Academy. Parrella is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree at FDU.

Sgt. Mike Spina, also a 12-year veteran, is the eighth member of his family to serve in law enforcement. He is a field training officer, accreditation manager and a member of the Bergen County Rapid Deployment Force.
