A trio of speeding vehicles all drove into the oncoming lane of traffic on East Saddle River Road after Upper Saddle River Officer Luke Gallo tried pulling them over around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Detective Lt. Edward Kane told Daily Voice.
The cars separated at the intersection of East Saddle River Road and East Allendale Avenue: Two turned west and the third east onto East Allendale, Kane said.
Gallo followed the eastbound vehicle onto southbound Route 17 and lost sight of it, the lieutenant said.
Ho-Ho-Kus Police spotted the other two moments later and tried stopping them, he said.
They traveled into Park Ridge, where the drivers mistakenly pulled into a dead-end street.
All six occupants then bailed out of the two vehicles -- one of which were reported stolen out of Fair Lawn and the other from Morris Plains, Kane said.
An 18-year-old Newark man identified as Quran Simpson and two East Orange boys -- one 16, the other 17 -- were taken into custody, he said.
Three others fled in the third vehicle and remained at large Monday, the lieutenant said.

Simpson remained held on $100,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with eluding and possession of stolen property.
The minors were being held at the Bergen County Juvenile Detention Center in Teterboro on juvenile complaints alleging the same offenses.
