Police found six people "engaged in a verbal and physical altercation" -- one of them with a stab wound to his upper back, Detective Lt. Edward Kane said Monday morning.

He refused medical attention and instead took himself to the hospital, said Kane, adding that police recovered a hunting knife.

Marco G. Minuto, 34, was ordered held on $25,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and weapons possession counts.

Minuto made headlines 15 years ago when he accused Harvard College of reneging on a promise of admission made by the school's football coach.

The Northern Highlands Regional High School graduate later dismissed the suit.
