The rig came to rest across the right and center lanes on Franklin Turnpike around 2:15 p.m.
The driver, after climbing out, was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation of, and treatment for, what appeared to be minor injuries.
Meanwhile, fire departments and Heavy Rescue units from Ramsey and surrounding communities responded, helping to contain a small diesel fuel spill.
Extensive delays followed on northbound Route 17 and on either side of Franklin Turnpike.
Mahwah police handled traffic control, as did personnel from NJDOT. Also responding were Mahwah and Allendale firefighters.
