Plainclothes detectives appraoched the distinctive-looking Edward Feuchack yesterday because he matched witnesses’ descriptions of a thief from several incidents, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT earlier today.

Feuchack, 34, admitted the thefts from Wednesday, then led officers to five bicycles he’d lashed to a pole at the Hoboken homeless shelter on Bloomfield Avenue and the sixth on nearby Summit Avenue in Jersey City, he said.

He also was carrying keys for several bicycle locks and five illegal Xanax tablets, Pentangelo said.

PAPD police charged Feuchack with theft, receiving stolen property and possession of drugs and burglar tools.

One of the bikes, reported stolen outside the Hoboken Terminal last Friday, was returned to its owner, Pentangelo said.
