Franklin Ramon Reyes Ponce, 29, is accused of taking advantage of a fellow immigrant who, like him, was under the influence when the incident occurred.

Members of the Midland Park Police Department and Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested him on Saturday after determining that he entered the victim’s home without permission and sexually assaulted her the night before, Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said today.

Reyes Ponce, who is married, is charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and burglary.

He has an appearance scheduled Friday in Midland Park Municipal Court.
