Joseph Amico, a 22-year-old audio-visual technician, and his 34-year-old common-law wife, Collen Willis, who authorities said is disabled, both posted $25,000 bail and were released pending grand jury action.

Ridgewood police got the initial call after the boy was taken to The Valley Hospital with an arm injury apparently sustained last Dec. 30 while Amico was caring for him.

The Saddle River Road couple surrendered to Saddle Brook police on Tuesday after an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit determined that the injuries weren’t consistent with an accident.

An arraignment was scheduled for this coming Tuesday, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.
