The driver was fine and no commuters were believed injured in the crash at the Sheridan Avenue/Prospect Street exit.

The vehicle’s fuel tank ruptured, leaking gasoline onto an adjacent entrance ramp to the southbound highway, which was shut down while Waldwick firefighters and Bergen County Hazardous Materials personnel tended the spilled fuel.

The wreck was removed by a flatbed tow truck as Waldwick PD provided traffic control.
