Port Authority Holland Tunnel checkpoint nets trio with heroin, pot, more

BEYOND BERGEN: Port Authority police seized 404 decks of heroin and more than a half-ounce packaged separately, along with more than quarter-pound of marijuana, five ounces of Ecstasy and various prescription pills from a trio of New York State men at a Holland Tunnel DWI checkpoint.

Charged with various drugs offenses last night were Reuben Ogando of Endicott and Waldstein Francilus of Johnson City, both 21, and 24-year-old Matthew Clar of Vestal, the authority’s Lenis Rodrigues told CLIFFVIEW PILOT earlier today.

Two other arrests were made at the checkpoint last night, including Manuel Chaquiguanga, 35, of Morristown on DWI charges after he refused to submit to a sobriety test and Clive Baker, 20, of Jersey City, for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
