It was the second time in just over 48 hours that someone was killed on a Bergen County roadway.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, at the Exxon station near the Paramus border.

The incident occurred just up the highway from the building where a gunman held police at bay Tuesday before a Bergen County Police veteran talked him out.

A woman from Ocean County was struck and killed Thursday when she tried to cross the Garden State Parkway in Montvale after dark.

Earlier Saturday, two cyclists were struck in Saddle River.
