CVP EXCLUSIVE: He’s Bergen County’s newest assistant prosecutor, but Joseph Torre Jr. is no stranger to the Hackensack courthouse: He was a clerk to the mentor who swore him in during a celebrity-studded event today: retired Superior Court Judge Joseph S. Conte.

Torre holds his badge

A Ho-Ho-Kus native, Torre recently worked with the law firm of Sekas and Abrahamsen in Englewood.

He was graduated from Villanova University, majoring in political science, and then Seton Hall Law School two years ago.

Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli (photo, above) assigned Torre to his office’s Appellate Unit.

Torre’s swearing in ceremony in Hackensack today drew some prominent family friends from Bergen (see below).
