Township police then closed down the southbound stretch of parkway, getting some cars to back up far enough, so that AirMed One could land in the center lane.
The victim, who was bleeding severely from a leg artery, went in and out of consciousness as he was loaded into the chopper, emergency workers at the scene said. Polite said his injuries weren’t considered life-threatening.
Among those responding to were emergency workers from Washington Township, Hillsdale and Ho-Ho-Kus, as well as the State Police and HUMC on-ground paramedics.
