Late-night Fair Lawn crash sends passenger to hospital

ONLY ON CVP: A female passenger was taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood with head, neck and back injuries after a crash just before midnight last night in Fair Lawn.

The 11:30 p.m. crash at the intersection of Morlott Avenue and Saddle River Road involved a four-door BMW and a Volkswagen Beetle.

None of four men in the BMW was injured. A passenger in the Volkswagen complained of a head injury but refused medical assistance.

Responding were Fair Lawn police and EMS workers and a paramedic unit from the hospital.

Both cars removed by flatbed tow truck. Saddle River Road closed in both directions until the scene was cleared.
