Westwood police cleared the way for a Hillsdale ambulance to get to the hospital landing area on Old Hook Road following the incident moments earlier at a grandparent’s home on Stratton Avenue — ironically, the same block where the late James Gandolfini’s sister lives.

“He’s unconscious but breathing,” Westwood Police Chief Frank Regino told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

AirMed One picked up the boy and took off for Hackensack University Medical Center just after 6 p.m.

EDITOR’S NOTE: A previous version of this story had the name of the father’s town wrong. I apologize sincerely.
