Glen Rock police chase ends in Wyckoff railroad signal crash

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A police chase that began in Glen Rock ended in Wyckoff tonight when a 25-year-old Long Island man driving with a suspended license crashed a sedan into a train signal at a grade crossing.

The pursuit went along Route 208 before ending at Newtown Road in Wyckoff, near the Midland Park border.

Moments after the crash, the driver was caught by officers from Wyckoff and Midland Park and turned over to Glen Rock police.

Kenneth Pflug was being held on $20,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with attempting to elude police. He was also issued several summonses, including DUI.

Damage by the fleeing vehicle was also reported to a guard rail on Cedar Hill Avenue near Maple Court in Wyckoff.

All train traffic was  stopped so the damaged warning signal for the New York Susquehanna & Western freight line could be repaired.

The 2003 Nissan Sentra was being towed for processing.
