Many of our troops have returned home from their tours of duty to find that their jobs back home were eliminated. The food pantry at the Teaneck Armory has faced serious shortages, and donations are needed now more than ever.

In response, Schroeder quickly organized a Food Drive for the month of December, with the added incentive: From now through Dec. 22, anyone who donates a non-perishable item to the Armory’s food pantry will be eligible to win 4 three-day passes to the Bamboozle Festival.

A massive delivery of 450 turkeys and 450 holiday hams were distributed to the troops and their families at the Teaneck Armory Food Pantry this morning, thanks to the generosity of a local meat distributor and the corporate offices of Perdue and Hormel.

Assemblyman-elect Robert Schroeder, who organized the event was joined by State VFW Senior Vice Commander Bill Thomson and representatives from Porky Products in presenting the donations to the troops in time for the holidays.
