Dunkin Donuts manager admits pocketing $31,000 from Fair Lawn, Midland Park shops

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A manager was released without bail on theft charges after admitting that he swiped $31,000 from Dunkin Donuts shops in Fair Lawn and Midland Park, authorities said.

Dunkin Donuts representatives reported $19,000 taken from the Fair Lawn store and $12,000 in Midland Park, Fair Lawn Police Sgt. Brian Metzler said this morning.

Fair Lawn Detective Jeff Welsh teamed up with Midland Park Detective Sgt. John Gibbons to arrest Javier Gonzalez-Valerio, 32, of Suffern, who “admitted to the thefts during questioning,” Metzler said.
