Christopher C. Frawley was “highly intoxicated and acting aggressively” when Sgt. Dale Winters and Patrolman Kevin Kasak and two officers from Midland Park were summoned by his 67-year-old mother Friday night, Police Chief Benjamin Fox said this morning.

The officers requested assistance during what became a violent confrontation, in which Winters sustained a knee injury and Frawley damaged a police car, Fox said.

Winters was taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood and was released later that night. However, Fox said, he “is out of work indefinitely pending the results of MRI tests.”

Frawley, of Wyckoff Avenue, was being held on $25,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and criminal mischief.
