“Just because you escaped doesn’t mean you got away,” McGuire said.
Police had been called twice to a Mackay Avenue residence after paint stripper was poured on the victim’s cars — only the second time an empty container was left behind. Sheriff’s Detective Gerald Reap pulled two prints off the container, and found a match. The co-worker, Samuel Yellens, is charged locally with criminal mischief, trespassing and harassment.
“I would like to commend the excellent work of Detective Reap,” said Sheriff McGuire “This case is a prime example of the power of forensic detective work.”
