Corporate security officers at the TD Bank on Saddle River Road held the pair for police, who then arrested them.
According to them, Ian Williams, 23, of Englewood, “began taking money from his drawer on and off for several months,” Fair Lawn Officer Joseph Mecionis said.
Williams then “befriended a coworker and enlisted her aid in helping to cover up the thefts,” the officer said.
Gisselle Delacruz, 24, of Prospect Park, began doing the same, and together they doctored bank statements to try and hide the shortages in their drawers, Mecionis said.
Williams took $6,100 and Delacruz $4,100, he said.
Police charged them with conspiracy and theft and released them without bail pending a Sept. 14 Municipal Court hearing.
