Allendale/Waldwick PBA Local 217 buys hams for the needy with trimmings money

The Allendale/Waldwick PBA Local traditionally spends $2,000 for a holiday decoration contest, but there was such an oustanding need at the Center for Food Action in Mahwah this year that the union voted to use the money differently this time.

PBA members show goodness inside and out

The local bought 164 hams at a discount “due to the generosity of Allendale A&P,” said Sgt. Robert Woessner, who added that the gifts were accepted by Jim James of the Center for Food Action.

The PBA also donated food and financial assistance to needy families in both Waldwick and Allendale.
