ALLENDALE, N.J. -- Ruth E. Leswing of Allendale, died on Tuesday, Dec. 15. She was 93.
Leswing was raised in Saddle River Township by her mother, the late Amanda (nee Weidman) in the home her late father Ernest Christian Fuchs built on Franklin Ave.. She was a Member of Order of the Eastern Star for 60 years.
Leswing is predeceased by her husband Charles D. Leswing Sr. (1985); son Charles D. Leswing Jr. (2004); and siblings Viola Bauserman,Robert Fuchs and Fred Fuchs.
Leswing is survived by her daughter Ruth E. Mayer of Township of Washington; grandchild John P. Mayer; and great-grandchild Rachelle; and sister Helen Kievit.
The family would like to especially thank Patricia in the activities room at the nursing home for always treating her mother with dignity, combing her hair and always making sure she had her jewelry on.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec. 17 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Paramus.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m on Friday, Dec. 18, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home. Interment in George Washington Memorial Park.
