Born and raised in Ridgewood, Cohn graduated from Ridgewood High School. "He is most fondly recognized for his 15 years at Bagelicious in Ridgewood, followed by his 13 years employed at Englewood Tire in Englewood and most recently P&A Auto Parts in Saddle Brook," according to information from the funeral home.
He is survived by love of his life, Ilise, and his siblings Patti Cohn, Kathy and her husband Steve Tucker, Peggy and her husband J.P. Callan, Tim and his wife Lori, and Tom.
Cohn was predeceased by his parents, John Joseph Sr. and Patricia (O'Malley), and his brothers, Michael and John Joseph Jr.
A gathering will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Ave., in Ridgewood.
