Bridges, a veteran of the Korean War, earning the rank of sergeant major, earned a bachelor's degree from New York University in 1956 and worked in advertising and marketing for several decades, most notably for the I.B.M. Corp. from 1962-93.
Upon retirement, Bridges was as an adjunct professor of marketing at Ramapo College until 1999.
He was predeceased by his wife June Bridges.
Bridges is survived by his two daughters Paige Lawler Bridges and Brooke Eaton Bridges (Andre), and, grandchildren, Bowie Bridges Frank and Saxon Eaton Frank.
The family will receive friends from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff. Private cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donation to the James A. McFaul Environmental Center, 150 Crescent Ave. Wyckoff, NJ 07481 would be appreciated.
