MIDLAND PARK, N.J. -- Grace Pruiksma, formerly of Midland Park, died Nov. 22. She was 85.
Born in Friesland, Netherlands, she lived in Midland Park and Prospect Park before moving to Hackettstown. She was a former member of Unity Christian Reformed Church in Prospect Park and current member of Breakpoint Community Church in Hackettstown and has been a lifelong loving and faithful servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her joys were playing the organ, knitting and most especially her loving grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Pruiksma; and brothers George and Mart Van Lunen.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Crago and her husband William, Susan Roeda and her husband John, Linda Oppelaar and her husband Leonard, Owen Pruiksma and his wife Shelley, Patricia Pruiksma and Jamie Pruiksma and his wife Kristen; grandchildren, Eric, Brian, Michelle, Rick, Katie, Matt, Jessica, Erin, Renee, Anna, Kacie, Lilly, Freya and Harper; and great-grandchildren, Haley, Sofia, Victoria, Zoey, Reese, Bryce, Aspen, Hudson and Hayes.
The family will receive family and friends from 2-6 p.m. Saturday at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. There will be a funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
