Charles J. Rocco II, 60, Of Midland Park

MIDLAND PARK, N.J. -- Charles J. Rocco II, of Midland Park, died Friday, Nov. 4. He was 60.

He was born in Ridgewood, to Dorothy (Czarnogursky) and the late Thomas C. Rocco; he was raised in Fair Lawn and resided there most of his life. 

Rocco was a member of ARC of Bergen County for 20 years and the Boy Scouts of America Fair Lawn troop, which was the first handicapped troop in New Jersey. He also was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn. A football enthusiast, he was a New York Giants and Fair Lawn High School football fan. He  enjoyed vacations at Delray Beach, Fla. and Manahawkin, dining out, parties and especially spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his sisters, Lisa Ackerman and her husband Rich and Maria Cicchella and her husband Louis. 

The family will receive relatives and friends from 3-7 p.m. Monday at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. A funeral Mass is planned for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne St., Fair Lawn. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Lustgarten Foundation, 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY 11714 would be appreciated.
