Best known for her long-term role of Lily Walsh Snyder on "As the World Turns," Byrne grew up in Waldwick and currently lives in Ridgewood, according to Wikipedia.
She began on the show at the tender age of 15, in 1985. She played Lily for nearly two decades, with a hiatus between 1989 and 1993.
Byrne won two Daytime Emmys for that role, and another for her work on the web drama "Anacostia." She's also had an array of TV roles and appearances, as well as several film credits.
She's recently been on stage, in a production of "In the Car with Blossom and Len," at Queens Theatre. Byrne rounded-out her entertainer resume with music, having released three albums.
