Gold is signing copies of her new book "Outofshapeworthlessloser," at Bookends in Ridgewood on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. The book chronicles Gold's rise to being America's Sweetheart after her medal winning performance in Sochi, where she was profiled in magazines and baked cookies with Taylor Swift, according to a synopsis.
But while Gold was experiencing this meteoric rise, she was battling bulimia, suicidal ideation and the pain of a prior sexual assault, according to a synopsis.
