Dequan Cedeno, 35, of Teaneck, was taken into custody on Saturday, March 15, following an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allendale Police Department, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced.
Police contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit after receiving a report of a sexual assault at the Hand & Stone Spa in Allendale earlier that day, officials said. An investigation revealed that Cedeno sexually assaulted an adult female customer while performing a massage, authorities said.
A criminal complaint says Cedeno digitally penetrated the victim during a massage.
Cedeno was arrested the same day in Allendale and charged with second-degree sexual assault and third-degree sexual contact. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first court appearance at Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack.
