Where once folks cringed at the thought of raw fish, now they crave it with Bergen County diners putting spicy salmon rolls and yellowtail scallion high on their list of “must haves.”
We asked – and you answered – giving us five of your favorite sushi restaurants. Grab your chopsticks and read below; each eatery is being profiled this week with the winner announced at the end of the month.
Masa Sushi & Grill, 81 W Allendale Ave, Allendale, (201) 934-6616
What Makes It Good: Chefs place a lot of pride in their dishes. There are a host of exotic options as well as standard fare.
Diners Like: Putting their faith in the sushi chefs and ordering omakase. One diner raved about the eel being especially unique.
Worth Special Mention: It's BYOB. The restaurant also has its own set of "rules" it lists on its website. Among them: "The best seats are at our sushi bar" and "Do not be afraid to try something new."
