We have been asked to leave the parking lot and property we called home for the past 13 years. We are sad to see it go, but it's not the end of Solid!

MIDLAND PARK, N.J.– Solid Foundation has been putting on skateboarding events nearly ever Saturday in its Midland Park parking lot since 2002.

"That's a lot of Saturdays," said Steven Wolfe. "We've had so many great skate sessions, contests, demos, big events, little events."

Through the YouTube video linked above, Wolfe announced that Solid was asked to remove its equipment – including a halfpipe – from the Godwin Avenue lot.

"It's been a great run," Wolfe said.

But does that mark the end of the skatepark?

"Absolutely not," said Wolfe.

"As long as there are skateboarders in our community, Solid Foundation has a responsibility to serve."
