According to JCP&L, just over 1,200 Morris County residents and more than 2,000 in Somerset County were without power as of Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, nearly 1,700 in Hunterdon and about 1,000 in Warren Counties had yet to regain electricity.

Among the areas reporting the highest number of outages were Bernards Township, Bernardsville Borough, Harding Township, and Randolph Township.

Restoration times were not specified.

According to forecasters, more storms were brewing and expected to sweep through Tuesday afternoon and evening.
