Man Found Dead With Gunshot Wound In South Jersey Home: Prosecutors A Galloway Township man was found dead in a Pleasantville home with a gunshot wound, authorities said. Pleasantville police discovered the body of 38-year-old Baseem Taliaferro on Thursday, May 9, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. Officers responded to a report of shots fired at a house on West Pleasant Avenue at around 11:02 p.m. Taliaferro had at least one gunshot wound to his torso. South Jersey Man Admits Killing Atlantic City Woman, 56: Prosecutor A 58-year-old man from Pleasantville has admitted to killing a woman in Atlantic City in 2018, authorities said. Mark Huff, 58, pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter for the homicide of 56-year-old Vernell K. Vance, according to Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill. Atlantic City Woman, 54, Struck Dead By Car: Report A 54-year-old woman was struck and killed while trying to cross a Pleasantville highway, NJ Advance Media reported. Janelle Oliver of Atlantic City was in the eastbound lanes of West Black Horse Pike near Noahs Road when the crash occurred, the outlet said. She was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City where she was pronounced dead. Rennel Turner, 54, of Atlantic City was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds about 7 p.m. on Saturday in Egg Harbor Township, according to Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner.
