Man Gets Out Of Car, Killed By Tractor-Trailer On NJ Turnpike, State Police Say A Monroe Township man was killed when he got out of his car and was hit by a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. Michael Veisz, 40, died in the crash on Interstate 95 North in East Brunswick on Friday, Aug. 23, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the scene near milepost 81.2 at around 5:02 a.m. Investigators said a Chevrolet Impala driven by Veisz was in a single-car crash on the southbound inner side of the turnpike. Mercer County Man, 62, Killed In Multi-Vehicle Collision On I-295: State Police A 62-year-old man from Mercer County was killed in a multiple-vehicle crash on Interstate 295 in Burlington County, authorities said. One of the drivers, Dennis Cox, 62, of Hamilton Square was ejected and fatally injured, they said. Troopers responded to the crash at 8:12 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9 on the northbound lanes of 295 in Mount Laurel Township, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan. State Police ID Men Killed In Mercer County Crash Where Watermelons Were Strewn On NJ Turnpike State Police have identified the two men killed in last week's tractor-trailer crash in which watermelons were strewn across the New Jersey Turnpike in Mercer County. Malcom Cope, 55, of Douglas, Georgia, and Van Huston, 56, of Jamaica, New York, were pronounced dead after the northbound truck veered off the turnpike, struck a guard rail and slammed into a concrete bridge support near milepost 60.3, state troopers said.  Cope was the driver and Huston was a passenger.
