Driver Sends SUV Into Ocean County Strip Mall An elderly woman was injured after crashing her car into a shopping plaza in Whiting, authorities said. Manchester Township police responded to the wreck at Whiting Commons on Lacey Road just after 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18. Officers found a black 2020 Hyundai Tucson had caused significant damage to the fronts of H&R Block and Wine World. Police said an 88-year-old woman from Whiting was driving in the strip mall parking lot. She accelerated her vehicle, drove over a curb, and crashed into the building.  Investigators said no one else was in the SUV with her during the crash.…
